I don't have enough room on the page to properly articulate what we saw in El Salvador. The proverty is heartbreaking. The fear people have of the infamous MS13 and MS18 gangs is palpable. Guards with shotguns, houses protected by tall walls with barbed wire, and towns filled with tin-roofed shanties abound. Just a short 3-hour flight from Dallas and you find yourself in a whole other world.
I am so proud of what our WMA associate missionaries are doing in El Salvador. They are building cinderblock and wooden houses. They operate transition homes for orphans who have aged out of orphanages and now need help learning life skills. Homeless people, stuck in addiction and a level of poverty hard to even imagine are being fed. Most of all, the Gospel is being preached and the love of God is being poured out in a real and tangible way. To be honest, I have trouble even pulling all my thoughts together. There is such a huge financial need and need for constant prayer for our missionaries there. Thank you for your prayers and support! --Chad
