Viktor Chernyavskiy's Ministry and Christian World Newspaper
Viktor Chernayavskiy has been uniquely equipped and strategically placed to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Viktor was born and raised in the Ukraine by his mother who became a Christian when Viktor was four years old (1973). Because of her decision to follow Christ, she lost her husband, a good job, and suffered much persecution. The church they attended met in the forest during the warm months of the year. Viktor grew up in a country where he experienced a lot of stress, persecution and humiliation; but God was with him and helped him in many ways. God even opened the door for Viktor to receive a journalism degree from Kiev Government University – the most prestigious university in the country. Viktor and his wife, Nataly, and their four children immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1993. After much prayer, difficulties and a break from the ministry in 2012, Viktor and Nataly now are American missionaries to the Ukraine publishing Christian World newspaper!
Christian World newspaper started as a small local publication in 1996 by Viktor and Nataly in their apartment. The newspaper has grown much since then and gives people information about God and His power, Christianity around the world, and evangelizes and teaches people. Newspapers are inherently trusted by the former Soviet Union people because they have been taught by the communist government to trust the newspapers. The newspaper includes articles from a variety of Christian churches. Because the paper is distributed through the mail, it reaches people who want to know about Jesus but are still afraid to go to church.
Viktor has started the initiative, Action: Christian World to Every Home. The objective of the initiative is to give at least one issue of the newspaper, one time, free to every Ukrainian family. Their desire is to evangelize them, let them hold Christian World and read it. Many people in the Ukraine cannot afford to subscribe to the newspaper but they will accept a free copy.
Christian World is bringing peace and light to Ukraine and they need your help to expand the ministry! Your feet my not touch Ukrainian soil; however, your prayers and support will touch Ukrainian lives! Your gifts will provide more newspapers which will be distributed throughout Ukraine by fellow Christians. Each newspaper is a tool used by God to touch a life and change a heart.
