Krissy Clark - South Africa

Krissy Clark is our missionary serving in the Western Cape of South Africa. After being raised as a missionary kid in Honduras and Ecuador, she moved to Texas to get her Associate’s in Theology from Christ for the Nations, then on to Dallas Baptist University for a Bachelor’s in Business. While being employed at Trinity Church in Dallas, she was introduced to a few of their sister churches. One of which was in Africa where she went on a mission trip and instantly had a heart to work with the children at one of the projects, a hospice for babies. It took her less than a year to pack up her bags and move to South Africa to be on staff as a permanent ‘pro-bono’ staff working with all 7 community development projects in the township/shacks.
After having been on staff at Thembalitsha (the church’s non-profit, dealing with education, healthcare and training) for four years, she is now assisting on the ministry side as part of the administration and communications team at the Every Nation Somerset West Church. The main focus of the team is to honor God by establishing Christ-centered, spirit empowered, socially responsible churches and campus ministries. She is currently working with 7 church plants in the region located just outside of Capetown, and serving at the office in the local church.
Krissy enjoys culture, community and country (i.e. traveling). She believes that a 3rd world country is the place to be, full of adventures and learning experiences. Her favorite part of living over seas is that if she plans it right, she can live summer to summer and experience very little cold weather. Her favorite thing to say is T.I.A. It stands for This Is Africa… What it means is “It is the way that it is” (when mumbled in traffic etc, it’s like counting to ten).
