After studying at Christ For The Nations Institute in Dallas and spending two years in a great church in Euless, Texas, Rodney and Barbara returned to Zambia with their two children, Isabella (11) and Zachary (8).

The Fernandos are starting a children’s ministry that will target children ages 5 to 15 years, The children will be taught the Word of God in a fun environment; and will also learn useful skills like reading, sewing, gardening, carpentry, etc. The government of Zambia and most churches have very few programs aimed at children. The AIDS epidemic has wreaked havoc in the Zambian homes leaving orphans as young as 15 years to become heads of the households. The Fernandos’ aim is to reach out to these hurting children and help bring a glimmer of hope into their lives.
